Goodbye Picasso's Cafe

On 20 February 2021, Glenferrie said goodbye to a beloved favourite, Picasso’s Cafe. The cafe began in Southland Shopping Centre before moving to Glenferrie Road 16 years ago, and was home to favourites such as lasagna, egg & bacon rolls, and an array of sweet treats.

With the unpredictability of the current COVID-19 situation and the building being sold and under a new landlord, owners Heather and Michael decided it was the right time to close and have no current plans to open another cafe elsewhere.

Heather said she will miss their regular customers and the other shop-keepers whom she has got to know very well over the years. Luckily, Michael and herself live locally and will be sure to still frequent the area.

Goodbye and all the best in the future to the Picasso’s Cafe team and thank you for providing coffee, fresh food, and a friendly face to Glenferrie since 2005.
