Kitchen Closed

On 8 July 2018, Crabapple Kitchen located at 659 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn closed its doors. A notice on the shop front sighted "irreconcilable difference with the landlord." However, the cafe-restaurant looked as if they had simply closed for the evening with chairs on top of tables and everything remaining as it was.

The cafe-restaurant opened six years ago attracting attention with their iconic lollipop stripped awning and take away coffee window and quickly became a staple of Glenferrie Hawthorn.

Since its closure on 24 July 2018 there was a sandwich board out-front that read Breen Auction Group, who according to their website "manage and promote...unclaimed goods auctions.”

The shop front notice thanked their loyal customers and friends and invited them to visit Vaporetto around the corner at rear 681 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn another of their eateries

For those who have unused Crabapple Kitchen vouchers, Vaporetto will honour these in full, until the given expiry date of the voucher.
